State Rep. Josh Schriver (R-Oxford) today recognized Ty Bommarito for his dedicated service as front-desk staffer in his office.

Ty joined the team and he immediately helped strengthen operations and improve constituent service while balancing a demanding schedule as a full-time Michigan State University student studying philosophy, a member of the Army National Guard Reserves, and a Spartan Battalion Combatant in MSU ROTC. At the same time, he served as MSU Turning Point USA President, rose from Michigan College Republicans Secretary to recently being elected as Michigan College Republicans President, and served as a precinct delegate.

His professionalism, strong work ethic, and commitment to public service have been a true asset to the office and to this chamber. Ty represents the best of the next generation of Michigan leaders.

We prepared a tribute for him on the House floor and are excited to see him take on a new role at Turning Point Action. We know he will continue to make us all proud.
